Catholic Outreach runs a food pantry and soup kitchen. They are located at 245 S. 1st St. Donations are accepted M-F from 9am – 3:30pm. Pull into the driveway and ring the bell at first rear entry door. Community Food Bank. They are located at 562 W. Crete Circle #102. They can accept donations M-F, except Wednesdays, between 10am-2pm. Homeward Bound Homeless Shelter uses produce for their meal program and snacks. They are located at 2853 North Ave and can accept donations M-F business hours. The Salvation Army provides raw food and prepared meals at their location at 1235 N. 4th St. They can accept donations M-F during business hours. Go to the reception window with your donation. The Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies is a clearinghouse that serves over 100 hunger relief programs. They also have an amazing dehydration program that makes delicious dried fruit and leather snacks for the Kids' Aid Backpack Program. They are located now in Palisade on River Road. They can handle large deliveries. Karis, Inc. runs several shelters for teens and young families. All deliveries for the House must go through Amanda. Any Mesa County organization that provides nutritional support at no cost to those in need can receive produce from Grow Another Row. It must be able to handle fresh produce so that it does not spoil by the time it is distributed to the public. For more information on participating, contact us. |
